Bulletin

The forecast bulletin is where you monitor fire weather conditions for your area. It combines map visualisation with a timeline to let you step through upcoming conditions.

In the left panel, choose which fire weather index to display on the map. The map colours update to reflect the danger level for that index at the selected time.

Available indices depend on your organisation settings — editors can enable or disable indices.

The timeline bar at the bottom of the map lets you scroll through forecast data:

  • Drag the slider to move forward or backward in time
  • The map updates to show conditions at the selected hour
  • A blue marker on the chart indicates the time shown on the map
  • A black clock icon marks the current time

Use the toggle at the top-right of the timeline panel to switch between:

  • Today — hourly detail for the current day
  • +7 days — extended outlook for the coming week

Short-range forecasts (today, tomorrow) are more detailed and use higher-resolution weather models. The 7-day outlook uses global models with coarser resolution.

When you select a POI, the side panel shows a detailed forecast chart:

  • Each row represents a weather variable or index
  • Colour coding matches the danger thresholds configured for your organisation
  • Hover over any cell to see the exact value

Editors can choose which weather models are used for forecasts in Settings > Weather. See Weather Models for an overview of available models.
